White turmeric is in the ginger family and has much in common with ginger itself. (It’s more like ginger than like yellow turmeric). White turmeric’s energizing scent is warm, spicy, and woody with a eucalyptus-like note. It has an affinity for the belly and for warming and comforting the muscles and joints.
